With the announcement of “Navigating Morocco's Agricultural Policy: Unraveling the Nexus of Water, Food Security, and Trade Tensions in Global Value Chains,” authored by Dr. Abdelmonim Amachraa from Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute, we are pleased to announce that Preprints.org has surpassed the milestone of 40,000 posted preprints.

The Preprints.org team would like to thank our authors, screeners and advisory board for their contributions over the past 7 years. These 40,000-plus preprints are associated with 157,194 unique authors from 194 countries. The preprints also collectively generated 13,123,812 total page views.

Hitting the 40,000 preprint mark is a good time for us to reflect on the achievement of our platform. With preprints, we help authors with the dissemination of research outcomes, obtain early feedback, and receive credit to improve transparency. Preprints posted on Preprints.org are now indexed in Clarivate’s Preprint Citation Index, Google Scholar, Crossref, SHARE, PrePubMed, Scilit and Europe PMC.

The future for preprints looks bright. Our focus will continue to be fast dissemination and keep our multidiscipline appeal. With a growing interest in preprints, we are proud to be one of the most popular servers in making early versions of research outputs permanently available and citable.
