2009 | The Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education was cofounded by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC); Joint Accreditation Criteria (JAC) was established. |
2010 | The first organizations were reviewed and granted Joint Accreditation. |
2017 | A process was established for Joint Accredited providers to specifically identify and award Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for activities that were planned by and for the healthcare team. |
2018 | The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry’s Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (ARBO/COPE) joined Joint Accreditation. |
2019 | The American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) joined Joint Accreditation. |
2020 | The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and the American Dental Association’s Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) joined Joint Accreditation. |
2020 | Joint Accreditation’s Criteria for Commendation is established. |
