Research shows that in earthquakes the ground response changes in areas where there are underground cavities. Due to the fact that subways and underground tunnels pass from beneath buildings in urban areas, these changes in ground response have a direct impact on the seismic behavior of structures. In this study, first by model validity and reliability of the results, steel structures modeling was conducted and steel structure behavior was evaluated due to Tunnel-Soil-Structure seismic interaction. Parameters studied are number of stories, soil type, tunnel depth, horizontal tunnel-structural distance and dynamic loading. Considering that one of the most important parameters of structural control is drift and story displacement, so this important factor will be considered. The results show that tunneling has a direct effect on the rate of structural displacement and increases the structural response. Also, the behavior of the structure is affected by the position of the structure at the ground level and the position of the tunnel and this should be considered during the design phase of the structures.
