Takayasu arteritis is an inflammatory vasculitis that mainly impacts the large vessels including the aorta and its branches. Ocular manifestations may include retinal ischemia, optic neuropathy, cataracts, and retinal artery occlusion. We present two cases where central retinal artery occlusion was found in patients with Takayasu arteritis and wish to highlight to consider Takayasu arteritis in young patients with unexplained retinal artery occlusion.
