The goods and services produced by forest vegetation ecosystem are the driving force for the rapid, high-quality and sustainable development of human society. In history, with the increase of population and economic development, there is an increasing demand for the quantity and variety of forest vegetation ecosystem products and services in a country or a region. To meet the demands, most of the original forest has become farmland, plantation and grass and crops land. As a result, the plant water relationship changed from equilibrium to non-equilibrium, which easily led to soil drought, soil degradation and vegetation decline in dry years or waste of soil water in rainy years in most of water-limited regions. In order to solve the question and realize the sustainable utilization of soil water resources and the high-quality sustainable development of forest, it is necessary to apply the limit theory of plant utilization of soil water resources and the vegetation carrying capacity theory in the critical period of plant-water relationship regulation to adjust the relationship between plant growth and soil moisture to obtain the maximum yield and benefit and realize high-quality and sustainable development.

This article addresses the question why initiatives in the field of green business and sustainable development often fail. Therefore, it dismantles some typical patterns of failure and shows – as a case study – how these patterns can be challenged through an innovative educational concept: the green business and sustainable development school. The applied methodology is a real-life project that is designed through blended, interdisciplinary elements from business model canvas, Theory U, participation and design thinking. The results of the school initiative are discussed and evaluated by four distinctive stakeholder groups and outline the school’s supporting potential to overcome typical patterns of failure by the younger generation in the future. This article concludes with ideas to enhance the school concept reaching out to even more stakeholder-groups to increase its reliability and viability.

There is a balanced plant-water relationship in the primary vegetation of desert area. With the increase of population and social development in desert areas, people’s need for forest vegetation ecosystem’s goods and service have been changed. To meet the growing demand for plant community goods and services, more original vegetation has been changed into non-native vegetation such as in China loess plateau. However, with the plant growth, sometime soil drying happens and then becomes gradually serious with times in most of desert regions. Serious drying of soil eventually result in soil degradation, vegetation decline and agriculture failure，which influence the produce and supply of forest vegetation goods and service in market in dry year or waste of soil water resources in wet year, which wastes precious nature resources. In order to solve these problems, the soil water resources have to be used in sustainable way and plant-water relationship have to be regulated on Carrying Capacity of Soil Water for Vegetation in the key period of plant water relationship regulation, to carry out sustainable use of nature resources, high-quality and sustainable development of forest and grass or high-quality produce of fruit and crop in desert re-gions.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (hereafter CRPD) has provided a radical imperative for the reform of mental health and capacity legislation around the world. The interpretation of the CRPD has been controversial, ranging from complete abolition of detention, forcible treatment and substitute decision making, to acceptance that elements of these measures need to be retained but based on non-discriminatory criteria, additional safe-guards and a comprehensive shift towards supported decision-making. While the potential ef-fects of the CRPD on mental health social work and social work generally are considerable given their shared commitment towards social justice, to date there has been no review of research evi-dence exploring their relationship. In addressing this knowledge gap, this study held a prelimi-nary discussion with practitioners and academics at the European Association of Social Work Mental Health Special Interest Group in Amsterdam 2022, followed by a scoping literature re-view on the question: What impact, if any, has the CRPD had on social work practice? The review produced four main findings: impact on legislation; positive impact on practice; limited impact on practice; and impact on social work education and research. In sum, while there were some positive indications of social work and mental health social work practice being influenced by the CRPD, these were scant. Barriers to change included tendencies among some social workers to practise substitute decision-making, in part related to resourcing and policy contexts, and under-standings of disability aligned to individualised/medical rather than social perspectives. The results indicate that legal reform on its own is insufficient to impact social work practice, and that realising the potential of the CRPD will necessitate good quality training, as well as improv-ing social workers’ knowledge of the human rights of people with mental impairment.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF)-based manufacturing is a growing area of research, with a particular focus on evaluating constraints in printed products. This research emphasises the importance of considering various factors—including mechanical properties and support structures—that influence the final product during the design phase. Specifically, the design of microchannel heat exchangers is highlighted, where all constraints are critical. This article will present a method for analysing channel pressure limitations and report findings about mechanical properties loss from examining tube porosity. This includes a summary of results and the establishment of an experimental device system.

This paper proposes a paradigm shift in AI governance by integrating Indigenous knowledge systems to foster inclusivity and cultural sensitivity. Traditional AI governance frameworks are primarily Western-centric, often overlooking the community-oriented values and ethical considerations essential to Indigenous cultures. This study highlights principles such as Kaitiakitanga from Māori culture, which emphasizes guardianship and environmental stewardship, and Hózhó from Navajo philosophy, which stresses harmony and balance. By engaging Indigenous leaders and knowledge holders throughout the AI lifecycle, this approach ensures technology aligns with community values, addressing critical issues like data sovereignty, ethical technology use, and cultural sensitivity. This paper underscores the necessity of relational accountability in AI governance, which includes prioritizing the health of ecosystems alongside community welfare. This model advocates for an AI framework that not only rectifies historical marginalization but also empowers Indigenous communities to shape the technologies affecting their lives. Furthermore, integrating Indigenous perspectives strengthens the ethical foundation of AI systems, advancing sustainability, social justice, and cultural responsiveness in technology applications. The proposed framework illustrates how Indigenous ethical concepts can transform AI governance by aligning technological progress with values of ecological stewardship and community welfare, creating an AI landscape that respects and reflects diverse cultural contexts. Ultimately, this research demonstrates that Indigenous knowledge systems can significantly enhance AI’s effectiveness and equity, paving the way for more sustainable and culturally attuned technological solutions.

Traffic Inspection (TI) work in this article is positioned as a specific module of road traffic with its primary function oriented towards monitoring and controlling safe traffic and the execution of significant events within a particular geographic area. Exploratory research on the significance of event execution in simple, complicated and complex traffic flow and process situations is related to the activities of monitoring and controlling functional states and performance of categorical variables, which include objects and locations of road infrastructure, communication infrastructure and networks of traffic inspection resources. It is emphasized that the words “work” and “traffic” have the semantic status as synonyms (in one world language), which is explained in the design of the Agent-based model of the complexity of content and contextual structure of TI work at the singular and plural level with 12 points of interest (POI) in the thematic research. An Event Execution Log (EEL) was created for on-site data collection with eight variables, seven of which are independent (event type, activities, objects, locations, host, duration-period and periodicity of the event) and one dependent (significance of the event) variable. The structured data set includes 10,994 input-output vectors in 970 categories collected in the EEL created by 32 human agents (traffic inspectors) over a 30-day period. An algorithmic presentation of the methodological research procedure for preprocessing and final data processing in the ensemble of machine learning models for classification and selection of TI tasks is given. Data cleaning was performed on the available dataset to increase data consistency for further processing. Vector elimination was carried out based on the Location variable, such that the total number of vectors equals the number of unique categories of this variable, which is 636. The main result of this research is the Classification modeling of the significance of events in TI work based on machine learning techniques and the Stacking ensemble. The created machine learning models for event significance classification modeling have high accuracy values. To evaluate the performance metrics of the Stacking ensemble of models, the confusion matrix, Precision, Recall, ND F1-score are used.
